Why is my life so bumpy when I'm trying to do the right thing?

As I'm traveling on this path, it's not going to be smooth and easy. That is not life. Life is going to be bumpy and difficult, especially as we're developing into knowing ourselves and developing who we are as a man. That's adversity. We have to overcome it. We have to strive to find solutions. We have to seek to go deeper into life. And when we're doing that, it takes that awesome pressure of life to make the diamond, to form us into the man that we're going to be. We have to have adversity. So don't sit there and should on yourself. Don't say this should happen, that should happen, people should treat me like this, or I made this decision and it should have worked out. Don't do that. Pick the path, follow direction, take wisdom and guidance, but realize that adversity is an ultimate reality for every single one of our lives. I cannot tell you how many times somebody has told me flat out, like, I don't think you're a very good priest. I've had other priests tell me, you know, Father, you're too intense, you're too this, you're too that. What am I supposed to do? Some of it is just my personality. I can't cure my personality. What am I going to do with that? The reality is I've already accepted that this is who God has created me to be, and this is where I'm supposed to be going, and this is what I'm supposed to be doing. So I can't should on myself to be a quiet, meek, mild, soft-spoken guru type. That isn't me, it never will be me, and it isn't going to happen. So I can't should on who somebody thinks I should be as a priest. Even in my videos, look at the comments. How many people have a comment about I've got tattoos, or I lift weights too much, or I do this too much, et cetera. It's okay. They can be themselves and I'll be me, and that is just fine.
