I believe in Christ but I don't really know him. Should I study more or find a church?

All of us are in that boat. All of even me as a priest. Do you know Christ? It's like, I know Christ, but if you said, do you know him as much as you would like to? Lord have mercy. No, I don't. I wish I knew him more. That is for all of eternity. We always grow into the knowledge of God exponentially as time goes on. So don't let that become a discouragement or a frustration. We all have to start somewhere. If somebody had said to me twenty years ago, are you satisfied with your relationship with God? I would have said, no, I really want to know him. If somebody said to me today, I would say, I know him much more, but I don't know him as much as I would like to. I want to know him so much more and be so much more united to him than I am. I'm more conscious of how much he loves me now than I was twenty years ago, but now I'm also more conscious of the fact that I don't love him nearly enough. That does not change, brother. We all feel that. I've never been to church? Well, there's your number one problem. Should I prioritize finding a church over study? Absolutely. Go to the liturgy. Go to divine liturgy in the Orthodox Church. Go to vigil on Saturday night. If they have a weekday liturgy and you can attend it, go. There is a grace and a power and a presence of God that is in the divine liturgy that is unlike almost anywhere else or anything else. So that would be my number one recommendation to you. Go to the liturgy and stand in prayer. It may be different, it may be a little strange, you may even think it's a little weird, but so many people I've encountered, they come to the church and they're like, there's something about the liturgy that I can't put my finger on. What is it? What is the liturgy? What is happening? Why is it so profound? And it is. It is so profound.
