What does real courage look like for a young man?

St. Paisios was in the military as a signalman, and he was highlighted by his virtue of taking on dangerous missions, because he had devoted himself to the monastic life and told the Mother of God that as long as he did not have to kill anyone, he would go to Mount Athos afterwards. So many times when there were dangerous missions and there were married men, he would volunteer himself, so that if anyone was killed it would be him and not the married men. This is kind of a highlight of one of the things that pops up routinely in his writings, especially his writings to young men.
