Do Orthodox Christians think they're better than other Christians?

The number one thing that I've noticed from hearing lots of confessions is that Orthodox Christians are not better than other Christians. I don't believe that of myself, and I think if you went to the average Orthodox Christian, they are intensely aware of their sinfulness and how far short they fall of the glory of God, because we are constantly emphasizing confession and humility and repentance. And so absolutely, Orthodox I would say are an example of the power of the Holy Spirit. We only do what we are doing because God's Spirit is with us, and we are able to live and experience this tremendously difficult and invigorating life of prayer, fasting, services and deep devotion to Christ. It is a testimony not to the goodness of Orthodox Christians. If anything, it is a testimony to the fact that these are deeply broken people that are absolutely in need of God's healing. And God is giving them the power in order to keep the faith, the doctrines, and the lifestyle as was exemplified in the early church and carried on for two thousand years. That is a testimony of the Holy Spirit, not to the people who become Orthodox.
